SunGO: your Ticket to Sun Link 

SunGO is a seamless regional transit fare system that allows you to ride Sun Link, Sun Tran and select Sun Shuttle routes. Please click here for more information and to purchase SunGO products.

Purchasing Fares

1-Day SunGO ticket. Once activated, good for 24 hours: $4

SunGO Card or SunGO ID & Card cash value:

  • One-way full fare: $1.50 
  • One-way economy fare: $.50

You must have one of the following to board Sun Link:

  • SunGO Card – loaded with a pass or cash value
  • SunGO ID & Card – loaded with a pass or cash value
  • 1-Day SunGO Ticket
  • 30-Day SunGO Ticket
  • SunGO Transfer
  • Active pass on the GoTucson mobile app 
  • Children 5 years old and younger ride for free with a paying adult

You CANNOT purchase or pay a fare with cash on board Sun Link.  There is no fare box and the operator does not accept fares.

Transfers:
When you tap your SunGO Card or SunGO ID & Card on a streetcar validator or bus farebox,  a transfer will automatically be loaded to the card. Transfers are valid for up to two hours or two trips, and are free between Sun Link, Sun Tran Routes 1-99 and select Sun Shuttle routes.

Where you can purchase SunGO: 

1. At all streetcar stop vending machines

  • Buy a 1-Day SunGO Ticket with exact change (no change can be dispensed by the vending machine), Visa or MasterCard. A 1-Day SunGO Ticket offers unlimited rides on Sun Link, Sun Tran and select Sun Shuttle routes, valid for 24 hours after you first tap.

2. At any Sun Tran transit center vending machine or sales outlet 

  • Buy a new SunGO Card with pass or cash value
  • Reload a pass or cash value to an existing SunGO Card or SunGO ID & Card
  • Buy a new 1-Day or 30-Day SunGO Ticket
  • Reload the same pass as indicated on the front of a SunGO Ticket

3. Online at www.suntran.com/sungo

  • Buy a new SunGO Card with a pass or cash value
  • Reload a SunGO Card or SunGO ID & Card with a pass or cash value
  • Buy a new 1-Day or 30-Day SunGO Ticket

Have your SunGO Ticket, SunGO Card, SunGO ID & Card, or SunGO Transfer ready when you board.

4. On your mobile phone at gotucsonapp.com

  • Purchase SunGO passes to pay for transit and pay for on-street parking fees with this mobile app. 

Remember to tap your SunGO ticket, transfer, or card on a validator - there are 4 onboard. GoTucson app does not have to be tapped on validator but pass must be active upon boarding. 

Inactive mobile ticket, passes or cards and tickets that have not been tapped on the reader validator may result in a fine when inspected by fare enforcement personnel.
